Simply Sustainable: Guiding Small Business Owners on the Transition to Net Zero

Small businesses across Halifax are concerned about climate impacts but often lack clear guidance on how to reduce energy use and access available supports. The Halifax Chamber of Commerce is addressing this gap through a pilot program focused on helping small businesses identify and eliminate energy waste.

Grant Award: $50,000

Working with Navigate Energy and regional partners, the project will deliver walkthrough energy assessments, practical operational guidance, and clear overviews of rebates, tax incentives, and financing options. The initiative is designed to provide an accessible entry point for small businesses to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and begin planning for deeper energy retrofits and net-zero pathways.
